About Cal
"Callie Rodina plays the female lead, Brooke, with a hysterical performance that showcases her talent as a comedienne and gifted singer."
-Kristina Light, KCParent "Rodina provides a perfect "coming out of her shell" character with just the right amount of shy confidence to draw in even the youngest in the audience. " -Paul Bolton, BroadwayWorld "Callie Rodina and Dashawn Young’s Bad Idea Bears were wickedly funny." -Bec Pennington, PerformInc KC "Callie Rodina is a standout singer, particularly as the seductive Lucy the Slut. "Sunshine" is what she's called by most people close to her, and that could not be more accurate for this always singing, burrito loving, animal adoring, travel crazed, and just down right goofy girl. Callie grew up in suburban Kansas, and although she loves her home, she was always meant for something bigger. Callie has been following the sun ever since her first step outside and it has lead her to a life full of performance, exploration, and creation.
Callie is ecstatic to have just moved to Miami, Florida to pursue her masters of music in vocal performance at the Frost School of Music! The University of Miami is a wonderful place, and her and Betty are loving the sunshine, the beaches, and the gorgeous weather year round! When Callie isn't at rehearsal, in class, teaching a lesson, in the practice room, or hopefully eating and sleeping you can usually find her on an adventure with her dog! So much to see in Sunny Florida! |
