About Cal

-Kristina Light, KCParent "Rodina provides a perfect "coming out of her shell" character with just the right amount of shy confidence to draw in even the youngest in the audience. " -Paul Bolton, BroadwayWorld "Callie Rodina and Dashawn Young’s Bad Idea Bears were wickedly funny." -Bec Pennington, PerformInc KC "Callie Rodina is a standout singer, particularly as the seductive Lucy the Slut. "Sunshine" is what she's called by most people close to her, and that could not be more accurate for this always singing, burrito loving, animal adoring, travel crazed, and just down right goofy girl. Callie fell in love with the arts when she was a young girl growing up in suburban Kansas and it has lead her to a life full of performance, exploration, and creation.
Callie is ecstatic to have just recently completed her masters degree in vocal performance at the Frost School of Music (Univ. of Miami). Her and her dog Betty are making the major move back to Kansas City and will miss the beach and sunshine. They both are very excited to get back to their roots, though! Callie has plans to create a balanced life full of performing, creating, and teaching in Kansas City. She will be opening up her private voice studio again, and auditioning for everything she can. Callie is so excited to be home! |
